The 2018 vintage was a warm and dry year with cool nights giving us ripe and generous fruit.

Our Gewurz was harvested from late March through to mid April. The fruit was hand picked and then whole bunch pressed with a touch of skin contact to draw a little more flavour from the skins. The resulting juice was then allowed to undergo a wild ferment with a small proportion (12%) fermenting in large old oak vessels. Finally the wine was blended and given a minimal filtration before bottling. No fining agents* were used in the making of this wine.

*Fining agents are protein based compounds used to reduce the level of phenolics in the wine so it is vegan friendly.
