About the Role

As a Cellar Door Staff Member, you’ll be the face of our winery - guiding guests through tastings, sharing our story, and delivering exceptional customer service. This role offers variety, from hosting tastings to assisting with events and contributing to daily operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly and provide an exceptional cellar door experience
• Host guided wine tastings, sharing knowledge about our wines, vineyard, and winemaking process
• Drive sales of wine, merchandise, and club memberships
• Process transactions accurately using POS systems
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the tasting room and surrounding areas
• Assist in setting up and hosting events, private tastings, and tours
• Manage bookings and guest enquiries via phone, email, and in person
• Restock shelves, merchandise displays, and tasting supplies
• Follow responsible service of alcohol (RSA) guidelines at all times
• Contribute positively to a supportive and collaborative team culture

What We’re Looking For

• Friendly, engaging personality with strong communication skills
• A passion for wine and willingness to learn
• Previous cellar door, hospitality, or retail experience (preferred but not essential)
• Ability to work weekends and public holidays as required
• Reliable, professional, and customer-focused attitude
• RSA certification (or willingness to obtain)

 Delatite Winery has been a local icon since it first planted vines in 1968. As our business expands, we are on the hunt for GLASS WASHERS and FOOD RUNNERS to join our amazing team.

Key duties in this role will include:

·       assisting with ensuring the floor staff have the tools they need to service their tables

·       delivering food to tables from the kitchen pass

·       polishing cutlery and glasses

the ideal applicant will possess:

·       high energy levels and the ability to be happy when you’re tried

·       a great team player mentality

·       great presentation and grooming

Successful applicants will need to provide proof of being double vaccinated.

Previous experience is not necessary as all facets of the role will be trained. Juniors are welcome to apply

We are looking to fill kitchen hand roles.

Must have a good attitude and take pride in your capacity to remain calm under pressure with multiple tasks to handle. 

You must be available to be rostered on weekdays, weekends or public holidays.

This is a casual role with the possibility of it becoming a part-time or full-time position for the right person.

Apprentice position also available.
