a quick update from the team at delatite

Unfortunately, because of the fires and awful smoke in the Mansfield area, we are re-scheduling Stargazing in the High Country and Shakespeare in the Vines.

The new date for Star Gazing in the High Country is the 25th January 2020 and the new date for Shakespeare in the Vines is the 14th March 2020.

We’re very sorry for the inconvenience and disappointment that this will undoubtedly cause but we feel that we have no option given the current conditions, as well as forecasts of possibly very dangerous fire conditions later this week. It’s better to be safe than sorry.

Given the horrible time the nation is facing we have decided to donate 100% of all ticket sales from our two upcoming Outdoor Cinema events to the Victorian Bushfire Appeal.

Thank you to all those who have contacted us about the fires and possible damage. At this stage we’ve endured some horrendous weather and have had solid smoke for 4 days (but nothing like the 60 days and nights we endured in 2006/2007). The nearest fires are around 30km away and at this stage we’ve dodged a bullet. We have great friends and family in NSW and Vic who have been badly affected, and knowing the terrible nature of fire on country communities and animals (even without considering human fatalities), it is a fairly awful time.

We’re hoping for more rain and that we can get a prolonged period of calmer weather after this weekend so that life can get back to a more normal rhythm and all we have to worry about are our dam levels and the 2020 vintage.

Yours in vino and wishing you all a wonderful 2020 (it has to get better!).
