Estate 'Hell's Window' Pinot Gris Gewurz Riesling 2023

These grapes are all hand-picked crushed, co-fermented on skin by wild yeast. No filtration or fining has been used and only minimal sulphites were added.

A delight to drink by itself or with tapas. As David Ritchie says "Think of this wine as a drink rather than a wine. It is more like an Aperol spritz."

Orange or Amber wines (in this case more like a Rose) are wines made from white grape varieties that have been fermented by wild yeast on their skins for a period of time and then pressed off skins to complete fermentation in large oak vessels. The wine is then bottled without any further intervention from the winemaker; so no additions, fining or filtration, this is a completely natural wine. As such, wines of this type will tend to have a slight haze and is likely to throw a crust of harmless crystals.
